This is a true world cruiser! She is the most highly outfitted Antares for circumnavigating. Her construction and livability is top drawer. The Antares quality and performance is extremely well known, and for good reason.

Construction
The hull and deck are constructed of isophathalic acid resin and tri-axial knitted fiberglass fabric. The skinning layer is 100% vinylester. Above the water line, the hulls and deck are cored with 3⁄4" corecell foam, except for hardware attachment points. All coring is vacuum bagged to ensure 100% adhesion. Below the water line, hulls are solid fiberglass.
There are 2 forward watertight compartments, one inside each bow locker, as well as 4 watertight bulkheads, 2 forward and 2 aft. Standard fin keels have a sacrificial section allowing for substantial damage to keels without affecting hull integrity. The hull is treated with epoxy barrier coat and "Jotun" antifouling (new as February 2015).

Saloon

The Saloon on this 44i is beautifully laid out. With its cherry wood throughout and vast windows, the space is open and very welcoming. The L-shaped settee is in the center of the salon. It is elevated on a platform for increased visibility which provides storage underneath. The table is designed to drop down to coffee table height or raised for dining. There are folding corners that allow the table to be made larger or smaller depending on the crowd. There is an entertainment/storage unit on the aft salon wall. It is 19" deep with multiple drawers and cupboards. This unit also holds the washer/dryer and a wet bar sink. There is a raised shelf for easy storage of charts as well.

Galley

Master Head

The master head is forward on the starboard side. It has a large sink/counter area with Corian counters and a spacious vanity above. The shower is separated with an acrylic shower door, which keeps the rest of the head completely dry.
